I would like to file a complaint regarding an unpleasant experience at Market 32. My friend, who is visiting from Europe, attempted to purchase beer and food for a family gathering. He is over 50 years old and presented his valid passport as identification. However, the cashier refused to accept it and stated that only an American ID could be used for alcohol purchases. What made the situation even worse was the employee's attitude. She was unnecessarily aggressive, dismissive, and unwilling to explain the policy in a respectful manner. If the store truly does not accept foreign passports for alcohol purchases, that is the store's policy and should be clearly communicated. However, there is no excuse for treating customers disrespectfully. It is difficult to understand why a valid government-issued passport from another country would not be accepted when tourists visit the United States every day. This felt unfair and discriminatory toward international visitors. I have always considered Market 32 a good store, but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I have witnessed. I lived right around the corner for years so I kept going out of convenience, and so many times I regretted my decision immediately. So now that I'm moving out of town and will never see this store again, here is my review. The bottom line up front - this store is unclean, unfriendly, and unsafe. This store sucks in almost every way. Every time I go to buy Utica blue garbage bags I feel like I'm trying to buy a controlled substance - can't buy at self check one day, the next I have to go to customer service, the next time you can't buy after 10pm - I'm so sick of jumping through hoops just to be able to put some trash to the street! Add to the fact the store never seems to be clean - the bathrooms are disgusting, the entrance to the store is always wet and nobody cares that it's slippery anytime there is snow or rain. Most of the employees are rude and overtly hate their jobs. They have zero ownership when they can't help, no apology, just complete cold apathy. Not to mention, I could have driven across town to a better store in the amount of time I've stood at checkout waiting for employees to finish a conversation. I don't even care if you want to talk to your coworkers or what

Absolutely disgusting, and disgraceful. How dare you call yourselves a grocery store and then sell expired meat, milk, yogurt, eggs and bread. Moldy raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. Selling expired salads. This is ridiculous, you shouldn’t have to worry that going to the store you shop at is selling you food that will make you sick. Going through these reviews for this store, for now three YEARS they’ve been doing this. It’s time for a new store to be put there or this one to just be shut down. This is disgusting.

Every time I stop at this market 32 it reminds me why I don’t need to go ever again. Only reason I did stop at this store that I always have problems with it’s because it was closer and I didn’t wanna go to Walmart or aldis. No help in the bakery waited about 10 mins even after they paged someone. So I just left🤦‍♂️ All your produce is never ever fresh when I go. No help form anyone was trying to find bag lemmons Couldn’t find was trying to find individual peppers couldn’t find. I finally found peppers they were organic and 2 peppers in a pack. ok what ever I’ll take it. Once I get home and open to get ready to cook, I notice mold on one side of the peppers. Smh and this is not the only time happens everyone I go tho those market 32. Store manager BRANDON HASTLINGS should be ashamed of THIS, to have a store running like this. And the district manager 🤷🏼‍♂️I’ll just go to ALDI NEXT TIME
